Shingeki no Kyojin Levi Fanfic- A Lily [P2]

"Levi?"

"Lilia?"

The young girl stared at Levi for a few seconds longer before her expression softened.

"Levi! It is you!"

She studied him over a second time then bent down to pick up the bottle of whiskey at her feet. Looking at its contents then back down at Levi she sighed.

"What have you gotten yourself into this time?" She asked.

Levi looked away and said nothing.

Lilia smiled. Looks like he hadn't changed since they were kids.

"It's cold out here Levi. Why don't you come on inside and tell me what happened?"

She nodded to the door that lie on the building in front of Levi.

"Ah, I see now."

Levi had just finished explaining his part occurrences to Lilia in the warm comfort of the pub that she apparently ran with her parents. They were sitting at the bar, but no alcohol was present as Lilia had already looked at Levi's old whiskey bottle in disgust and disappointment right before she threw it away. She never really approved of alcohol.

"Stupid Garrison!" She exclaimed as her fist hit the wooden counter. Levi, who's head rested in his upheld palms as he leaned over the counter, now tilted his head to look over to his old friend.

"And what's the Military Police doing?? Nothing! Absolutely nothing! They never do anything! Because they don't care about us little people!"

Levi knew she was steaming by now. He'd seen her mad when they were kids, and this, was definitely it. Nonetheless he kept quiet.

Lilia let out a sigh. With her anger out of the way she looked over to Levi, a smile appearing on her face.

"And you?" She asked. "You probably haven't eaten anything in days."

"Got in fight with some idiots earlier." Levi's bluntness was something that also hadn't changed.

"Got the whiskey out of it."

"Okay...but have you eaten anything?"

"Food."

Lilia gave the sourest face she could pull.

"Well I know that."

She sighed, leaning back as she held her hands up admitting defeat. She stood up, walking away to head behind the counter. She returned from the back room with a piece of bread and an apple which she dropped in front of Levi, who had his face on buried in the wooden counter in front of him. He looked up.

"Oh no no. I'm not accepting food from you." He said as he propped himself up to look at the giver. "I don't need you taking care of me. This is my mess, not yours."

"I thought you would've said something like that. That's why I only came back with these two things."

Levi looked at her, then back down at food. It's true he had a major headache from the whiskey and he hadn't eaten in awhile....

He picked up the food, holding it awkwardly in each hand.

"Thanks" he mumbled, not bothering to look Lilia in the eye.

Nonetheless Lilia smiled. She would've loved to offer Levi a full meal and a place to stay but she knew he would refuse all those things. He'd always been like that since they were little, independent and willing to do whatever he could on his own.

"Well, Levi, if you ever need food or anything else don't hesitate to ask me" She said while offering yet another smile.

Levi them stood, turned around, and began walking towards the door, food still in hand.
