Literature Text

Levi spent the night playing with an imaginary knife in his hand. If anything this fight was a chance to get back at Irwin. Whether he wanted to or not Levi still blamed Irwin for what happened to Lilia. He wanted to punch Irwin's face in. Make him bleed. He was more than angry. He was angry and broken. Those were two things that never mixed well in anyone. Especially not someone as capable as Levi.

Just as he had promised Irwin came to Levi's cell bright and early. So far Irwin had been the only one to visit him. Not that Levi was ever "lonely" but that sure told Levi that Irwin was of high standing. After all, he must have some strong form of influence if he can get Levi out of prison and keep any officers from visiting him.

Irwin walked over with the key and began to unlock the cell door. Before he opened it he looked over to Levi.

"I need you cooperation, Levi. The guards outside think I'm talking you to trial. Please act accordingly."

Levi had the urge to smile.

  My my....

"You sure are sly. Even more of a reason not to trust you."

  "Now, now..."

As Irwin came over to unlock the restraints holding Levi's chained wrists to the wall, Levi studied the man's figure. Often times he could tell how strong an opponent was by the build. He leaned to judge his battles that way out on the streets.

Damn beating the man was gonna be a pain the ass.

Irwin was literally twice Levi's size and build. While Levi was puny he wasn't weak. So strength shouldn't be much of a problem. However, who knew what Irwin had under his sleeve.

As Levi waited to be untied his thoughts drifted to other things as well.

If only I had a knife....

He's right here in front of me.

After he untied me I could've easily killed him right then and there.

No, Levi...

You promises you'd at least behave.

Levi was on his feet in less than a minute. He had been sitting for so long that his ass was numb. Not only that but eyesight went white from standing up so quickly. Levi blinked a few times and tried to regain his senses. Guess he wasn't as well as he thought he was.

As Irwin lead Levi out the door, Levi followed closely. His hands were still tied together in shackles. Even so he could've easily attacked Irwin.

   Levi laughed to himself.

If only Irwin knew what he was capable of.

Both of the men walked past the guards outside. Neither of them said a thing. Levi wondered just how much influence this man had...

Soon enough they had walked into an empty hallway. It looked rundown and not in use. There was dust in every corner. The brick walls were tinted green and the smell of mildew gave the room a sweet yet stuffy smell. A familiar itch found its way to Levi. He fidgeted as they walked through the hallway.

It's so damn dirty...

Levi's torture was finally over as they reached the end, a door stood in front of them. Levi watched as Irwin pulled out a bronze colored key and clicked it into the locked door. As he forced the doors open Levi felt a rush of stuffy air mixed with the scent of mold and old parchment. Irwin signaled Levi to follow him in.

The enclosed room that had walked into turned out to be a training room. A few practice blades made of wood were off in a rack to the side. There was a large matted square that covered most of the floor in the center of the room. Levi guessed that was where they would fight. And he was right.

Irwin had taken off his scouting legion emblazed jacket and it was now lying on the floor to the side. After undoing the top two buttons of his plain button-up white shirt, he stood on the mat and assumed a fighting stance.

Levi almost chuckled. Looks like Irwin was as eager to fight as he was.

Trudging his feet in more of drunk manner, Levi made his way on the fighting mat. He cocked his head to the side, causing the muscles on his neck to stretch and flex.

"You know, Irwin..." Levi started. "I still don't like you. I don't trust you. In fact, I won't hesitate to say that I hate you." Levi pulled his arm, stretching his muscles. "So don't blame me if I end up killing you today."

With those as his final words, Levi ran full-speed toward Irwin. Irwin anticipated his moves and side-stepped but it was too late. Levi had switched footing and was now behind him. He pulled his arm over, ready to use the side of his hand to hopefully hit Irwin square on the back of the neck. It was a cheap trick, but Levi didn't mind playing dirty. However, Irwin caught on. Only moments from getting hit, Irwin slid himself to the right, causing Levi to only hit his back right in between his shoulder blades.

Still he was pretty damn strong. A strong rigid bolt of pain struck Irwin in the back where Levi had hit him. Irwin stumbled forward, quickly trying to get out of Levi's reach. He had hit closer to Irwin's arm. Now it was hurting.

"What's wrong sir?" Levi taunted. "Military training can't even teach you how to handle a rogue thug half your size?"

Irwin steadied himself as Levi ran up to him yet again. This little brat was fast and efficient that's for sure. Levi extended a leg out, hoping to swerve it down and trip Irwin. But that trick didn't work. Irwin had dodged. The two kept up pace. Levi throwing the punches and Irwin dodging. They matched each other's wavelengths so well that it would have seemed as though they were sparring partners. This pissed Levi off.

Levi had had enough. He stepped back, putting one foot in front of the other. He decided to employ something he leaned on the street. In a quick and flawless manner Levi turned on his heels and brought up both fists. He did a full 360 gaining momentum as he turned. His fist was balled tight, fully prepared to make contact with a face. Usually when Levi pulled this move in a fight people barely had time to register what was happening before they took a fist to the face.

  But Levi had forgotten.

Irwin was different than the thugs he used to fight.

Irwin caught his punch in his much larger hand. As swiftly as Levi had turned, he was now being flipped. Irwin had gotten his shoulder underneath Levi's pulling him up and over his back. Levi barely had any time to think before he landed hard on his back, the air being knocked out of him.

Levi laid there on the ground. In shock and regaining breath.

What the hell was that?

Was that giant ass man just as fast as me?

He could hear Irwin walk away after a few moments. Levi just stayed in place. He couldn't get up.

"Well then I suppose that's that." Said Irwin.

Irwin walked back to pick to up his jacket, slinging it on as he walked towards the door.

"Levi" he said. "We have to get you back to your cell before the guards get too suspicious. I'll settle all the things concerning your release as soon as I get you back."

Levi still didn't move.

Did I seriously just lose...?

New chapter with no proper formatting whatsoever!!!! :D
Almost done man......

Probably go up to chapter 10 and then an epilogue.
Wow....
this'll be the first fanfic I've ever finished. XD
But I also have an idea for an Ereri AU....
I'll probably post that somewhere else though, not here.
I'm also working on another Rin x Reader per request.
So that'll be up shortly.
Thanks for waiting!!!
(School sucks for making time to write fanfiction.)
